1. 信用證的格式：國(guó)際商會(huì)于1970年制訂了《開(kāi)立跟單信用證標(biāo)準(zhǔn)格式》（Standard Form for the Issuing of Documentary Credit）：
1） 開(kāi)立不可撤消跟單信用證標(biāo)準(zhǔn)格式-致受益人（The Standard Form for the Issuing of Documentary Letter of Credit-Advice for the Beneficiary）
2） 開(kāi)立不可撤消跟單信用證標(biāo)準(zhǔn)格式-致通知行（The Standard Form for the Issuing of Documentary Letter of Credit-Advice for the Advising Bank）

1） 信開(kāi)本（To open by airmail）：開(kāi)證銀行采用印就的信函格式的信用證，開(kāi)證后以航空郵寄送通知行。
2） 電開(kāi)本（To open by cable）：開(kāi)證銀行使用電傳、傳真、SWIFT等各種電訊方法將信用證條款傳達(dá)給通知行。
a） 簡(jiǎn)電本（Brief cable）：開(kāi)證銀行只通知已經(jīng)開(kāi)證，將信用證的主要內(nèi)容預(yù)先告通知行，詳細(xì)條款將另郵航寄通知行。簡(jiǎn)電本在法律上是無(wú)效的，不能作為交單議付的依據(jù)。
b) 全電本（Full cable）：開(kāi)證銀行以電電訊方式開(kāi)證，把信用證全部條款傳達(dá)給通知行。全電本是交單議付的依據(jù)。
